Changing Careers

Naomi had worked in customer support for six years when she realised that her role no longer gave her much room to grow. She enjoyed solving problems and explaining complex ideas, so she began studying data analysis in the evenings. Before applying for a new position, she completed a short course and built a small project using customer feedback from a fictional company. Her first role in the new field was not more senior, but it gave her the kind of work she wanted to develop.
